Johan Lundgren
Former CEO of easyJet, 2017-2024
Inspirational Talk
Keynote - 21 May 2025, 13:45 PM

Johan Lundgren’s story is one of passion, resilience, and leadership.
Starting out as a musician, he unexpectedly found himself in the travel industry. At only 29 years old he became CEO of one of the largest travel companies in Sweden and has since then been CEO of large companies in the travel, airline and hospitality industry.
Over the past seven years he has led easyJet, Europe’s second largest airline, through some of the most challenging times in aviation history, only to leave the company at its strongest financial position ever, through an extensive transformation of the business.
Yet, through all of this, one constant remained—his deep love for music. Together with Fredrik Thomander, he built Palma Music Studios on Mallorca in 2017. This became his creative sanctuary, a place where he could recharge, refocus, and find balance. His journey demonstrates how passion fuel better leadership, sharper decision-making, and long-term success. Johan is also a Sr Advisor to Blackstone Inc and a frequent contributor to Harvard Business School.
At ConX 2025, Johan will share how embracing both business and creativity has shaped his leadership philosophy and how staying connected to what inspires you can drive personal and professional growth.
Fredrik, being an international songwriter and producer for platinum selling artists, will also share some insights from the music world, how hit-songs are written and produced in their new international music hub Palma Music Studios.
Johan and Fredrik’s journeys, though different, share a common thread—passion fuels success. Johan’s love for music and business gave him the energy to lead, while Fredrik built a career shaping artists’ sounds.
Palma Music Studios represents the fusion of business and creativity, showing that when passion and purpose align, great things happen. Whether leading a company or composing a song, staying connected to what inspires you is the key to lasting impact.
